Seriously. There are so many fake people who are ruining things for us real ravers. I’m so sick of seeing “rave” blogs with nothing but electronic music festivals, fuckin’ “panty ravers”, and “gogos”. That isn’t what a RAVE is. A RAVE is an underground dance party, often in a field or warehouse. A RAVE is NOT EDC, Beyond Wonderland, etc. THOSE ARE ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVALS. I mean, don’t get me wrong, they are SO much fun! But it seems like now, the majority of the people that go are tools and fuckin’ “panty ravers”. They don’t appreciate the music, they appreciate the drugs that go around at festivals, and they aren’t smart about their drug use. Therefore resulting in a death or overdose that ruins it for everyone else.
Doing drugs and psychedelics at a festival is fun, don’t get me wrong. BUT FUCK PEOPLE, if you’re gonna do it, be fucking smart about it. Know who you’re getting your shit from, know what it is, know what’s in it and how much, and stay. hydrated. It’s not hard.
It’s so frustrating so see what “raves” have become and what they’re modernly identified as. There’s a HUGE difference between a rave and a music festival. There’s also a huge difference in a raver and a festival goer/panty raver/”gogo”. Just because you wear kandi, does not mean you’re a raver. Saying “PLUR” all the time to people does not make you a raver. Taking ecstasy does not make you a raver. Giving lightshows does not make you a raver. Shuffling does not make you a raver. Wearing bras and panties and fluffies also does not make you anything close to a raver, it’s just irritating. A raver is not determined by looks, but by their ways of life. We actually LIVE by PLUR, we are passionate about our music, we are bright, we are colorful, we are happy, we are kind, we are caring, we are dancers, we are children of the night, we are underground, we are one.

On fucken point. Hats to you man!

ALL THE AWARDS.

for fucks sake, thank you! its about time someone put it out there! this took the words right out of my mouth!

sad thing is i love going to these music festivals or events with EDM artists because I really do love the music but it’s ridiculously expensive and most people just go because its EDM is becoming “trendy” and it seriously ruins the experience so much. I have to think twice before going to see some artists because some people straight up ruin it by being rude and obnoxious, thats how you spot out the people who don’t know the real meaning of “PLUR” they are rude and don’t even dance :(

My first EDM “concert” I guess you can say was Tiesto’s Kaleidoscope tour in Chicago. I was so excited to see him and I felt like everyone there would be awesome, but I was called a “fag” more than once and people weren’t even really paying attention. However, it’s gotten better from there. But I guess since it is becoming more “mainstream” those who don’t appreciate the music as much as so many of us ruin it or at least try to. I can say I’ve never been to a rave, but am more part of the EDM Life; I am the one with headphones on almost everywhere I go, and the music is my escape from pain, from sadness, from depression, from despair. It’s a rave of my own making when I can’t be physically present with others. I know the music because I feel it. Props to you all. Peace, Love, and EDM.
